It is official. The new restaurant taking over the old T-Bones location will be called… drum roll please…

Papa Doc’s Shore Club

Here is the press release I just received today.

CHARLOTTE (Jan. 2nd, 2019) -A new restaurant and bar concept on Lake Wylie has big shoes to fill as they gear up to take over the long standing T-Bones after 24 years in business.

Bottle Cap Group a local restaurant management company is banking on a new level of excitement with the announcement of Papa Doc’s Shore Club, a lakefront destination.

“When you think of Lake Wylie, you’ll think of Papa Doc’s and become family! We want to be apart of every conceivable celebration and milestone. And continue to be the anchor of Lake Wylie. “ Britton McCorkle, President and CEO.

Papa Doc’s, located on Lake Wylie, plans to serve up lunch and dinner daily, with a modern American menu with subtle seafood influence, including oysters, lobster tail and Chef inspired dinner specials. The cocktail menu will feature frosty, tropical and pure Tiki-fun to take guests on a mini-vacation year round.

Additionally Papa Doc’s will feature fun for all ages, To-Go services for boaters and a merchandise store.

The company will continue to support the local community as a vital partner in the area’s growth and development. . No opening date has been set at this time.

My takeaways:

1. I LOVE how they mention “tiki-fun” and a “mini-vacation year round”. I feel like they plan to knock the dock/patio off the charts!

2. Interested in what the merch store might carry? Is it just Papa Doc’s stuff or will they have Lake Wylie in general apparel (like our Lake Wylie trucker hats and Lake Wylie UV shirts?)

3. The menu they mention seems about what you would expect. However, I bet it will be amazing. Serving sizes won’t be as big as what you got at T-Bones though. Those were just too big for some items.

Stay tuned for more updates!
